We are pleased to announce that earlier this month John Seay was named to the Board of Directors of Working Title Playwrights, an Atlanta-based non-profit organization that provides all playwrights with the opportunity to excel by helping them tell their stories for the stage, fostering the development of well-crafted plays, and increasing the visibility of theatre in the community. WTP works with playwrights, directors, actors, audiences, theatres, and theatre organizations to help writers create their plays. WTP offers readings, educational seminars, and opportunities for playwrights to see and hear their work onstage in its earliest stages and when it’s ready for a full production by a theatre. WTP also helps playwrights understand the process of promoting their plays and serve as a clearinghouse for theatres that are interested in new work.
As a former professional writer – and a lifelong writer in general – John is excited at the opportunity to help WTP grow and impact the local theatre community
